The “Edge” Display: What We Expect

On the display front, the Note Edge will feature a 3D curved AMOLED screen with a 1.5k resolution. I really don’t mind curved screens, but this might be a deal breaker to those who prefer flat displays.

We also expect the device to have a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling, stable fps while playing games, and a smoother experience while switching between apps.

We have seen curved screens from Infinix before, from devices such as the Infinix Hot 60 pro +, we expect the display of the phone to be one of the main selling points.

Performance Battery: The “Battery King” Angle

The battery is rumored to feature a huge 6500mAh battery; we hope it’s a silicone carbon battery, as these will help keep the device slim and lightweight.

On the performance side of things, the device is expected to feature the upcoming MediaTek 7100 (6nm). Although it has not been officially released yet, the Infinix Note Edge might be the first device to use this SoC.

The MediaTek 7100 belongs to the 7000 series, which is known to offer a balance between high performance and efficiency in mid-range devices.

Software & Updates

Regarding software, the phone is rumored to launch with Android 16. What's truly commendable for a midrange Infinix smartphone is the expected update commitment: up to 3 years of OS updates and 5 years of security patches.

This addresses a significant weakness often seen in their devices, and we hope Infinix delivers these updates promptly.

Release Date Reality Check

It’s not clear when the device will officially launch, but according to tipster Paras Guglani on X, we will see the device launch in January of 2026.

The device is set to launch soon, and we anticipate the unveiling of other smartphones in the series, such as the Infinix Note 60 and the Note 60 Pro. Notably, the Note 60 Pro has already been sighted, indicating it will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4.

Conclusion: Should you wait?

If you want the absolute best display, a bigger battery, and a unique-looking design, then you should probably wait.

You should also wait a little longer to get the full information about that new chipset and how it performs compared to other SOCs at that price point.

Do you miss the “Edge” naming trend, or is the fat screen still King? Let me know in the comments.
