The Samsung A57 is expected to be launched very soon. It’s reported that the phone will be launched later in March, so it’s not available for buying just yet.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A57 is expected to be priced the same as its predecessor, the Galaxy A56.

Expect the A57 to hit US shelves with a price tag between $499 and $529. Since UK numbers often track closely with US figures, the phone could land in the £499 to £519 range once import costs are factored in.

European pricing has been trending upward lately, as the A56 sat between €499 and €529 depending on the region. Because of this, the A57 will likely launch at a higher price point of roughly €549 before carriers start offering deals.

Samsung Galaxy A57 Price Prediction.
Region Model Variant Expected Price
United States 128GB / 8GB RAM $449 - $529
United Kingdom 128GB / 8GB RAM £499 - £519
Europe 128GB / 8GB RAM  €549
Europe 256GB / 12GB RAM €619-€629

*Note: US pricing is estimated based on S24 FE and previous A54 trends.

These are likely to be the prices of the Samsung A57 by looking at the previous smartphones, starting with the Galaxy A55 to the Galaxy A56, both of these previous generations have maintained consistent pricing.

The ongoing RAM shortage could keep the A57 at this price point or potentially drive it even higher. This issue is not unique to Samsung. The supply squeeze is affecting other smartphones, laptops, and TVs as well. It all stems from the explosive demand for AI data centers; they are consuming so much bandwidth that manufacturers are prioritizing enterprise needs over consumer products.

Samsung has actually warned of potential price hikes driven by the memory shortage. To align with this new economic reality, the company might have to reconsider how it prices its phones.

Expected Release Date

Based on the historical patterns, the Samsung Galaxy A57 is expected to be released in early March, and the Samsung A56 was launched in early March, so we expect this trend to continue.

Leaked Specifications: What We Know So Far

The Samsung Galaxy A57 is expected to feature a 6.6-inch super AMOLED display paired with 120Hz for smooth swiping and scrolling while navigating through the UI and playing games.

We also expect a high-nit peak brightness just like its predecessor, and the render images also show that the bezels might be symmetrical all around.

On the performance front, Samsung is sticking to Exynos; it is expected that it will have the Exynos 1680 (4nm), which will have some improvements compared to the Exynos 1580(4nm) we saw on the A56.

Now, to the cameras, the A57 is expected to feature a main 50-MP shooter, 12MP ultrawide, and, I guess, a 5MP gimmicky macro sensor.

At the front, the phone is expected to feature a 12MP selfie snapper for the selfie. Both the rear main camera and the selfie shooter will record videos up to 4K resolution.

On the battery front, Samsung will stick to the 5000mAh battery with 45W wired charging; there will be no wireless charging. There will be no charger inside the box.

The phone will come with Android 16 out of the box with either OneUI 8.0 or 8.5.

Is It Worth Waiting?

Honestly, based on these leaked rumors, I don’t think it’s worth upgrading, that is, if you are someone who is coming from the A55 or the A56, you won’t miss out on a lot, if you are someone coming from, let’s say, the Galaxy A53 or a budget Samsung phone like the A06 then this will be a worthy upgrade.

However, if you won the Smsung A55 or the A56 but prioritize software longevity, then by all means you can pick up the A57 once it is launched.

This is also the best time to get the Galaxy A55 since the prices have significantly dropped. Go for the S24 FE for much better cameras, for a similar price to the A57’s launch price.

Conclusion & Verdict

The Samsung A57 won’t bring huge upgrades compared to the A56, infact the only huge upgrades we are getting is the thinner chassis, it is more lightweight, slimmer bezels, and better SOC.

My honest advice? Only upgrade to the A57 if you are coming from older generations, like the A43 or budget phones like the Galaxy 16 or the A06.
