Samsung appears to be preparing to launch the Galaxy Tab S11 and S11 Ultra in the Kenyan market, just a few months after introducing the Galaxy Tab S10 series.

Samsung is among the few companies that launch its flagship tablets in the Kenyan market, and this trend will continue with the Samsung Tab S11 series.

Expected Launch Date and Price in kenya.

We have not received any information from Samsung Kenya regarding the launch date. However, considering Samsung's history of introducing flagship devices in the Kenyan market, we can anticipate the arrival of the Tab S11 series in the coming weeks.

Regarding pricing, based on other retailers, the Tab S11 will be priced at KES 116,000, while the Samsung S11 Ultra is expected to cost around KES 200,000.

Design and Display: Sleeker, Sharper, and Smarter

Galaxy tablets are recognized for their premium build quality, and the Tab S11 is no exception. It features an aluminum frame and back, contributing to its sleek design.

On the rear of the Tab S11, you will find a single camera accompanied by a flashlight. Both tablets have a quad-speaker setup, with two speakers on each side, tuned by AKG, along with a USB-C port. On the other the Tab S11 ultra has two cameras

They both have an IP68 rating, allowing them to be submerged in water up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.

On the right side, they feature the usual power button, volume rocker, an SD card slot, and two microphone holes.

Compared to the Tab S9, the Tab S11 is thinner at 5.5mm, while the Tab S11 Ultra is even thinner at 5.1mm.

Display

Samsung excels with a dynamic AMOLED display that reaches up to 1600 nits of peak brightness, ensuring visibility outdoors is never a problem.

The Tab S11 has a resolution of 1600 by 2560 pixels, while the Tab S11 Ultra features a resolution of 1848 by 2960 pixels. Both displays are very sharp and are well-suited for many creators.

The screens of both tablets feature Corning Gorilla Glass 5, providing Mohs level 5 protection. It is not the best display protection available, but Samsung had to cut corners.

Performance and Battery: Power House for Work and Play

Both devices feature the Mediatek Dimensity 9400+ (3nm), a highly capable chipset that can effortlessly handle all your demanding titles.

I understand that Snapdragon fans may be disappointed, but please consider that the Dimensity 9400+ is highly capable. Being a 3nm chip, it is also very efficient.

Onboard the RAM and storage, the Galaxy S11 offers three storage options: 128GB with 12GB RAM, 256GB with 12GB RAM, and 512GB with 12GB RAM.

The Tab S11 Ultra comes with several RAM and storage options, including 12GB RAM with 256GB, 12GB RAM with 512GB, and 16GB RAM with 1TB of storage. However, I'm unsure if Samsung Kenya will offer all of these memory configurations, so we'll have to wait and see.

The Tab S11 will have an 8400 mAh battery paired with 45W wired charging, and the S11 Ultra will have a larger 11600mAh battery with the same 45W charging.

Regrettably, there is no charger included in the box. The battery is expected to have a longer lifespan thanks to the more efficient processor, especially on the S11 Ultra.

Productivity and S Pen Enhancements

Both tablets come with an S Pen, which is essential for note-taking and productivity work, given the large displays on both tablets.

It has a new design compared to the previous one, with flat sides and a hexagonal body, and a cone-shaped tip designed to provide to paper feel.

It also features AI-powered drawing assistance that can create a rough sketch, which the AI will transform into a polished finished image.

The S pen has smarter writing that will help you refine your text so you can easily change the tone of your writing from casual to professional

There is also a magnetic attachment that can be attached to the frame of the tablet instead of a dedicated slot.

Just as we saw with the S Pen on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, we don’t expect this one to have bluetooth connectivity, meaning you can’t use it as a remote for the camera or other “Air actions”.

Cameras and Software: Upgraded for Creators

The S11 and S11 Ultra both feature a 13MP rear camera and a 12MP ultra-wide front camera, with the latter including an additional 8MP ultra-wide camera.

Both the rear and front-facing cameras on these tablets are capable of recording video in 4K at 30 frames per second. Although these devices may not be specifically designed for professionals seeking high-quality photography and videography, the inclusion of 4K resolution is a valuable feature.

It will be particularly beneficial for users engaging in streaming, attending online classes, and participating in video calls.

On the software side of things, both tablets will come with Android 15 on top of One UI 8, and they will receive software updates for seven years.

Should you wait for the Galaxy Tab S11 series?

If you're seeking a premium tablet and haven't used one before, I recommend considering the S11 series.

However, if you have the Tab S10 Ultra, hold on to it, as there isn’t much you’re missing from the Tab S11 Ultra. You might even consider waiting for the Tab S13 series.
