Performance & Efficiency
Under the hood, the phone is packed with the new Mediatek Dimensity 7100 (6nm), which is a new chipset released earlier this year, and it’s succeeding the Mediatek Dimensity 7050.
The chipset features an octa-core CPU, which consists of four Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz. For graphics, it utilizes a Mali-G610 MC2 GPU. Key supported features include up to 200MP camera resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, UFS 3.1 and LPDDR4 memory standards, WI-FI 6, and Bluetooth 5.4.
The Battery King
This will be the first Infinix smartphone to ship with a massive 6500mAh battery, while still maintaining a slim profile of around 7.2mm. It’s unclear whether the phone is utilising the silicon-battery technology, and as of the time of publishing this article, we still don’t have any information on the charging speeds.
The phone can easily last two days of use if you are a moderate user; for heavy users, you can expect to juice up the phone once a day.
Design and Display
We haven’t confirmed the official specs yet regarding the display; however, it is rumored to come with a 3D curved AMOLED display with the standard 120Hz refresh rate for smooth swipes and scrolling with a 1.5K resolution.
The design of the phone is also eye-catching, with a slim profile, coming in at just 7.22mm. On the back, a distinct camera island houses dual lenses. There is a camera island housing two camera lenses and a flashlight, and at the bottom, there is the Infinix branding.
Camera Capabilities
We don’t have much information about the main camera, but the main camera will be a 50MP with OIS, and the secondary camera might be an 8MP ultrawide lens.
The rear camera might record videos up to 4 K 30 fps, while the front-facing camera might stick to 1080p video recording.
Kenya Pricing & Pre-Order Details
We don’t have the official pricing from Infinix, but some local retailers, such as phoneplacekenya, are selling the 256GB 8GB variant for KES 32,999.
Once the phone officially launches, you can buy it from authorised Infinix retailers such as phoneplacekenya, Jumia, Kilimall, and Xpark.
For those who will preorder early, they will get a free 55W power bank, a KES 1,000 voucher, and a Spotify Premium Subscription.
The pre-order period will run from 15th to 25th January 2026.
Verdict: Should You Pre-Order?
I wouldn’t advise pre-ordering the phone just yet, as you still want to read the full reviews once it is launched to make an informed decision.
If you decide to pre-order the phone, you are going to enjoy the benefits of an insane battery life, a new processor, and a premium look.
The Infinix Note Edge is not perfect as it has its own cons, including the curved screen, which can be fragile and expensive to repair. And the phone might not include a headphone jack.
